Tarifa Kite Experience-Cursos de Kitesurf Tarifa

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my wingfoil lesson here.
The biggest issue by far was that no radio communication was provided. I honestly find this very difficult to understand for a modern wingfoil school. Being able to receive instructions and immediate feedback while you are actually practicing on the water is, in my opinion, one of the main reasons for booking a lesson in the first place. Without a radio, a huge part of the value of having an instructor is lost as soon as you move away from them.
The equipment was also disappointing, especially considering the price of €190 for a 2-hour lesson. Shortly before this, I had taken lessons at another school in Tarifa, where I paid €145 for two hours and had significantly better equipment.
The wings here felt outdated and had fabric handles instead of a boom/bar, which made them more difficult to handle and offered far fewer options for hand positioning. More importantly, I was given a board that was far too large for me. This was not simply a normal beginner board, but several sizes larger than what would have been appropriate. From what I understood at the time, a different board had originally been intended for me, but was then needed for another lesson, so I ended up having to use the oversized one instead.
For €190, I simply expected a much better setup: appropriate equipment and, above all, radio communication with the instructor.
I do want to explicitly mention that the staff were very friendly, and I have absolutely no criticism of my instructor personally. He was nice, did his best, and seemed unhappy with some of the equipment situation himself. These are issues with how the school is equipped and organized, not with him as an instructor.
Overall, unfortunately, the experience did not feel worth the price. Do not recommend.

Best place to learn how to kite in Tarifa! Maria and Duna are great teachers! Would highly recommend and will come back next year for sure.

Great kite school in Tarifa! The instructors were super friendly, professional and patient. I felt safe at all times and learned a lot in a short time. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn kitesurfing in Tarifa!

I came as a beginner and made so much progress during my time with the team. With Roberto and Duna’s coaching, I managed to get to the point of standing up and riding on the board, which I was absolutely delighted with 🤩🤩😃😃

Everyone was incredibly friendly, patient and encouraging. Duna in particular was always so smiley, positive and great fun to be around, which made every session really enjoyable ❤️

I also loved coming down to the school, chatting and just being around such a nice welcoming group of people. It really added to the whole experience.

I had an unreal time and would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to learn or improve their kitesurfing in Tarifa. Thanks again guys!! I’ll definitely be back! Julian - lets fly next time 🚀

Albert, Maria, Duna and Roberto offered me and my 3 friends a fantastic, safe and progressive beginners course in kite surfing. They were patient and encouraged us all the way, meeting us where we were at and ensuring we were challenged ever day. I couldn't speak more highly of the team and they are definitely my school of choice when I return to further develop my skills next time.
